In a proactive step toward fostering mental resilience, St. Paul’s English School, Rangapara, collaborated with Prajapita Brahma Kumaris Ishwariya Vishwa Vidyalaya to organize an enlightening awareness session titled “Break Free: The Power of Mind Over Addiction.” Held on 27 Oct 2025, the event underscored the transformative role of the mind in combating substance abuse and building healthier lifestyles among the youth.
The session featured B.K. Rajiv Dhawan, a distinguished Senior Rajyoga Teacher from Mount Abu, as the resource person. With his impressive credentials—an LLB degree and an M.Sc. in Value Education and Spirituality—Dhawan delivered profound insights into harnessing Rajyoga meditation for self-control and inner strength. Drawing from Brahma Kumaris’ philosophy, he explained how addictive behaviors stem from unchecked thoughts and emotions, offering practical techniques to cultivate mindfulness and positive affirmations.
Students, teachers, and parents gathered in the school auditorium, absorbing Dhawan’s interactive workshop. He shared real-life stories of individuals who reclaimed their lives through spiritual practices, emphasizing that true freedom begins with mastering the mind. The session included guided meditation exercises, sparking discussions on peer pressure, digital addictions, and the importance of family support in Northeast India’s close-knit communities.
This initiative reflects St. Paul’s commitment to holistic education, going beyond academics to address pressing social issues. By partnering with esteemed organizations like Brahma Kumaris, the school is equipping young minds with tools for a addiction-free future. Kudos to the organizers for inspiring a generation to break free and thrive!
